A reader asked if the atom in No. 05 was “happy to come home.” I have thought about nothing else all day.

The zero was invented by people comfortable sitting with nothing. That feels like the whole story of attention.

Kept writing “no signal is sent” as though that settled it. The stranger claim is that there is no gap for a signal to cross.

The blind men were not wrong. They were each right about the part they held, and wrong only about the word “whole”.
